Triangle Christmas tree challenge

Friday, December 2 // American tobacco campus // 6pm

What has 54 creatively decorated Christmas trees, a tower lighting and a surprise guest from DPAC's Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas the Musical? The 2016 Triangle Christmas Tree Challenge and the 12th Annual American Tobacco Tower Lighting! There's word from the North Pole that some fella dressed in red with a funny hat may be there too!

Kick off December with holiday joy at the American Tobacco Campus on Friday, December 2 at 6pm. If you can't make it on the 2nd, don't worry! The trees are located on 318 Blackwell Street, Durham, NC 27701 (Corner of Blackwell and Vivian Street) and will be on display until January 1, 2017.

It always helps the holiday spirit to attend a food and wine soirée!  Over 25 local producers and businesses will be offering up their goods to help with your holiday shopping. Fill your loved one's stocking or fatten up your own. Either way, the Bull City Holiday Food & Wine Soirée will be packed full of awesome products unique to our region for everyone to enjoy.

It's been 15 years since the Carolina Ballet first began its holiday extravaganza that captivates audiences around the triangle throughout December. The Nutcracker is perfect for the whole family and Durham's beloved DPAC will host this Christmas delight for three nights and four performances. Ira David Wood III's A Christmas Carol


Ira David Wood III's comedic rendition of A Christmas Carol has been bringing smiles and laughter to the Triangle for 42 years. Upon attending the event you'll hear chatter from many attendees who have made this show a family tradition from the get-go!

The Tourism Society has voted the beloved show one of the "Top 20 Events in the Southeast" and if we had to rank it within there, it would be #1! For tickets and information visit DPAC online.
